In 2007, the City of Sioux City has entered into a development deal for the construction of a "Stoney Creek Hotel" property in downtown Sioux City. A dozen properties have to be assembled into a parcel, and many buildings must be demolished.

How much taxpayer money is the City spending on this project? Click on the links below to download & print the documents we have found so far to put together the pieces of the true costs of this project.

PLUS: What NOBODY knows, is the real cost of the "brownfield" environmental cleanup of one of the oldest developed properties in the city. Will it cost $100,000 -- or will it cost ten times that? Nobody knows, but the City agreed to pay whatever it costs.
